A Few Thoughts on the Haiku

Incredibly creative! Sometimes it amazes me what people come up with. The hanging is formatted brilliantly, like a fruit that the writer wanted so badly to pluck but then he resists his urge so he can reap the reward when it is most ripe.

In the Editor’s Garden post written for this Haiku Seed, I wrote a haiku addressing writers asking them/us to have patience and to not harvest our haiku before they are ripe. This featured haiku goes so well with my own but apparently Alex did not read our Editor’s Garden post when he wrote this. So, what a wonderful coincidence! I hope the readers and followers of our journal soak the essence of these haiku as it shall be one of the core aspects of a new and exciting idea we are coming up with to inspire haiku writers.
