A Few Thoughts on the Haiku
All I can think of is an adult snapping at their children who were sneakily playing video games under their blankets instead of sleeping. Loved the playfulness of the writer and the haiku, there is a wholesome nature to it that brings out a smile.
I wonder whether the parents are in a rush to get the tiny boots and mittens for their children or are the kids old enough to get them on their own? And I think the use of winter flurries lends its haywire nature to the rush that is used to describe the people hurrying to get their boots. The children, upon seeing winter flurries outside the window, in their excitement and rush they flurry all over the house instead of going straight to the boots and mittens. Beautiful and adorable.
